Shirataki are translucent, gelatinous traditional Japanese noodles made from the konjac yam (devil's tongue yam or elephant yam). Shirataki or Konjac Rice & Noodles are made from Water, Konjac and Glucomannan. Glucomannan is a water-soluble dietary fiber, that are very low in digestible carbohydrates and calories. They have very little flavor of their own, making these "miracle noodles/rice" a perfect canvass for various recipes calling for noodles, pasta or rice. Now also available in Dried form, for longer shelf life.
